Animal Care Associate
The Lawrence Humane Society is hiring full and part time Animal Care Associates. This position is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting animal kennels, washing dishes and laundry, working with the public, and providing food, water and care to the animals. Finance Manager
This is a part-time position that has the potential to be full-time employment at a later date. Position will be responsible for directing the financial management and accounting services for Lawrence Humane Society, as well as maintaining the business accounts, organizational budget, and financial statements of the organization.

Candidates must have strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, preferably within the nonprofit industry, and be committed to the mission of the Lawrence Humane Society. A Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance, or 5 years experience in accounting/finance field, is required. Must possess experience with management information systems including Windows, Office, and other Microsoft products, and various accounting software. Veterinarian
The Lawrence Humane Society is seeking a veterinarian. This may be a full or part-time position. The veterinarian is responsible for the medical health and well being of sheltered and foster animals, including but not limited to sterilization, managing herd health and quarantine issues, and maintaining ethics of the shelter medical practice. The ideal candidate is comfortable and adept at performing high volume spay/neuter surgery, including pediatric sterilization, shelter medicine, and is committed to the mission of Lawrence Humane Society.

Lawrence Humane Society offers a fully equipped surgical suite and paid licensed and unlicensed veterinary assistants, and volunteers. We are committed to saving as many lives as possible through responsible population management, adoption, foster care, and transfer programs.

Veterinary Care Supervisor
This position entails the health assessment, monitoring, maintenance and medical treatment of animals in the shelter. Specific duties include but are not limited to, administering vaccines, microscope testing, scheduling and assisting with spay/neuter surgeries, completing medical records, dispensing medication, basic triage, post surgical care and supervising employees. Applicants are preferred to have a Veterinary Technician Certification, animal sheltering and/or supervisory experience.
