Tuesday, Dec. 4: 10% Tuesdays at the Bird Dog
 The Bird Dog restaurant and bar at The Oread hotel, 1200 Oread Ave., has a special program to help the shelter animals! On the first Tuesday of every month, from 5-9 p.m., 10% of your pre-tax purchase will be donated to the Lawrence Humane Society.
Two hours of free valet parking is provided with food and beverage purchase. No coupon or ticket is required. About the Bird Dog Bar

The Lawrence Humane Society Board of Directors normally meets the second Tuesday of every month. The first portion of each meeting is is open for public comments or questions. Are you considering attenting? It's helpful if you e-mail us in advance so we can provide sufficient time on our agenda.
Volunteering
Orientation sessions for volunteers are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 6 p.m., at the animal shelter, 1805 E. 19th Street. Junior volunteers (children 11-15 years of age) are encouraged to attend with a parent or guardian. Reservations are strongly encouraged. Please email us.
